Decreasing in light - Waning. Usually said of the Moon as it approaches the Sun in the order of the signs on its way to a conjunction (New Moon) after leaving its opposition (Full Moon).

 


Decreasing In Light: Term applied to the waning Moon as its image (as observed from Earth) decreases from the full to the new Moon.
Degree: A degree is 1/360 of a circle. In Astrology, degrees are the commonly-used unit of measurement.

The Moon should be decreasing in light, preferably in Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Aquarius or Pisces. Check that it is not afflicted by Mars or Saturn. Mars will bring trouble, pain, or even anger; Saturn delays, frustrations and disappointment.

Decreasing in LightWhen a planet has passed the opposition to the Sun it is said to be decreasing in light and is correspondingly weaker. This especially applies to the Moon.

The Moon is oriental of the Sun when it is increasing in light, from the lunation to the full; occidental of the Sun, when decreasing in light.

These terms have various meanings, when differently applied; as: (1) The Moon is oriental of the Sun when it is increasing in light, from the lunation to the full; occidental of the Sun, when decreasing in light.

be waxing, increasing in light from the New Moon to the Full Moon, but if it is a situation that we'd like to diminish, such as a diet in order to lose weight or the removal of the excessive body hair, the Moon should be waning, decreasing in light ...
