WHAT IS DIRECT MOTION? Direct motion is a phenomena when Earth, in it's orbits, passes up the slower moving planet and seems to move ahead of it once again. So, any planet can go retrograde or direct as we stand on Earth. They all do.

All the planets pass through all the signs, usually in direct motion (from Aries to Taurus to Gemini to Cancer and so on), but sometimes in the opposite direction for various periods of time.
With the planet near a station, I believe this can further take the person "out of the moment" because they are intuitively looking forward to the predictability of direct motion! This is why I call it the "burden" of the quest.

The influence of stations, if hitting on a natal planet, can be quite marked. So too if a planet retrogrades over a natal planet having already passed over it once, as it will then transit it again when it turns to direct motion.
