Elevated Planet: A planet placed high in a horoscope. The most elevated is the planet closest to the Midheaven; it is considered strong by position and accidentally dignified.

The commonly observed rules for determining the Lord of the Nativity are: (1) If the Lord of the Ascendant is poorly aspected and in an uncongenial sign, a more elevated planet should be considered, if there be such.

The Sun is also the most elevated planet, both appearing to be positive signs. Yet Mars also rules the 8th house, bringing the singer close to death, and there is a very close application from Mercury, ruler of the 6th.

Applied to one or more elevated planets guarded on the East by the Sun and on the West by the Moon.

Two major points of significance for this relocation chart are that Pluto became the most elevated planet, and therefore of great importance at that location and also Chiron became angular.
