Equation of Time - The difference between true and mean time at any given moment. This difference arises due to Sun not always crossing the Meridian at 12 o' clock.
Equation of Time. (1) Astron. The difference between mean solar time and apparent solar time.
In order to find out the true solar time, equation of time is used which is provided by the corresponding difference for a given moment, between the mean time and the true time. This difference is generally given in Ephemeris's, for the midday's.
