Equinoctial Signs - Aries and Libra. These signs hold the vernal and autumnal equinoxes.

If it is in one of the equinoctial signs (Pisces-Aries or Virgo-Libra) it will rise eastwards and set westwards. This oscillation of rising and setting points on the horizon increases the further north we go, such that north of 66.

When the Moon is in the equinoctial signs, Aries and Libra, the pull of Moon up is the same as that of Moon down for a given day. However, when the Moon is in the solsticial signs, Cancer and Capricorn, the pull is unequal.
