Exaltations
Fresh air and sunshine -- that's how today's still mostly full Moon in Libra with the potent Aries Sun feels today. In astrology, the Sun is exalted in Aries, and its surging energy is one of those seasonal shifts that's widely felt.

Exaltation and Fall : In addition, a planet is also strengthened when it is in its sign of Exaltation. In traditional horary astrology, Exaltation denotes a level of dignity somewhat exaggerated compared to rulership.

Executive Type. Referring to a quality of unyielding determination liberally possessed by those born when the Sun was in a Fixed Sign: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius. v. Sign.

Venus is in her fall in Virgo ( the sign which sits opposite Venus's exaltation sign Pisces), a sign ruled by Mercury , the planet associated with Lord Vishnu.

There are four commonly used categories: rulership (described above), detriment, exaltation, and fall.

I feel that this assignation is rather experimental with Pluto, and that the sign attributes of dignity and exaltation are in general not that individually significant for the outer planets.

Venus is strongest in the signs of her rulership and exaltation: Taurus, Libra, Cancer and Pisces.

Voyager 2, the first of the two spacecrafts, was launched one hour after Jupiter entered Cancer, its exaltation sign. Its exact position was 00°00´45´´ in Cancer.

There is a second Sign with which each Planet interacts well, known as the Sign of its exaltation. Directly opposite each Planet's Sign of dignity is the Sign of detriment; this Planet's energy is generally unfavorable.

*Virgo is given as the Exaltation of Mercury according to some authorities - as well as its sign rulership; therefore Pisces the sign of its Fall. Other authorities give Virgo as the Exaltation of Mars; Capricorn the Exaltation of Jupiter.

exalted The term used to describe a planet that is placed in its sign of exaltation, the sign, other than its one of dignity (natural rulership), in which it functions most smoothly because of the harmonious relationship between planet and sign.

The fall of a planet is the opposite sign of its exaltation, in the case of the Moon that would be Scorpio.
