FIXED STARS
The fixed stars have been used in astrology as additional indicators of various things for thousands of years.

The Fixed Stars were so called by the ancients to distinguish them from the Planets, or Wanderers, which are heavenly bodies moving perceptibly across the sphere of the Zodiac.

Fixed Stars Stars that seemed to be fixed in the "vault of heaven." They form about ninety some constellations. Examples are the Betelguese, Vega and the stars that make up the Zodiac. The appear to move from Earth with the rest of the heavens.

Fixed Stars: Stars which, because of their great distance from Earth, appear to be motionless or fixed in space although in actuality they are not.

Fixed stars - These do not move across the ecliptic, as do planets. Those near the ecliptic and of significant magnitude have considerable influence. Fixed stars do not lie within the zodiac; they are all beyond it in the constellations.

Fixed star: The term fixed is not really relevant today because we now know that the stars do "move" positions slowly. The term" fixed stars" was used by the ancients.

Flexed. An alternate term for the mutable signs, preferred by some modern authorities.
Fortified. Strongly placed; either elevated, in a congenial Sign, or well-aspected.

Our next type of astrological talismans are the talismans of the Fixed Stars. In Ptolemaic astronomy the fixed stars occupied the eighth sphere just beyond the last planetary sphere of Saturn.

Fixed Stars. The stars that make up the constellations, which appear to be fixed or immobile due to their vast distance from earth.

Forming. When an aspect between planets is beginning or starting.

The constellations are groups of fixed stars in the sky. Since ancient times humans have pondered over their significance. The strip of sky which is particularly relevant for astrology is the ecliptic within which the planets of our solar system move.

The Sidereal Zodiac (sidereal means star) begins when the Sun aligns with a Fixed Star in the Constellation of Aries. The Sidereal Zodiac is also known as the Fixed Zodiac.

The usefulness of the fixed star markers must have been discovered early as they are mentioned in the fifth tablet of the creation myth the Enuma elish.

It has been my experience in counseling that the most meaningful and exciting reactions from my clients come when I describe the constellation patterns and individual fixed stars on their charts (usually at the end of the reading).

The "signs" are 12 equal divisions of the interval between successive vernal equinoxes that slowly move* relative to the fixed stars. "Tropical" astrologers believe that the 12 signs are interpretively significant.

Sidreal Time - The amount of time required for a fixed star to revolve around the planet Earth and return to the exact same position in the sky.

Of all the astronomical variables the ones most clearly visible were the ecliptic (the apparent path the sun traces against the background of the fixed stars as it completes its yearly cycle), and the four angles (sunrise, zenith, sunset and nadir).

It establishes relationships between our solar system, the fixed stars and the galaxy. Cosmic astrology possesses very accurate (occult) predictive base and provides a sound basis for spiritual astrology.

There are many points that astrologers work with that may or may not be considered in these aspects: Chiron, other asteroids, the Moon's nodes, fixed stars, etc. Certainly the more points are included the more aspects will be found in the chart.

Some charts also include large asteroids, minor planetary bodies and fixed stars. The colored lines through the center are the aspects, and they will affect how a planet is expressed. They tell you how the planets relate to each other in your chart.

Because the other planets are moving at different speeds, there will be times when it will appear from Earth that a planet is not moving at all, and at times that a planet is actually moving backwards when viewed against the backdrop of a fixed star.

I wanted to know if I should count the node as being more or less than one degree away from Jupiter (the mean position of the north node is 17 degrees and 14 seconds), as I know when talking about fixed stars notice should be taken where the planet ...
