The various signs, planets and other points of a birthchart are represented by glyphs. Some planets have more than one glyph, most notably Pluto.

There are 12 Zodiac Signs and you need to memorize the Astrology symbol, glyph and date for each Sign, as well as the correct order they are listed in below. This will help immensely later on.

Definition: The quincunx is an an aspect formed when planets are five signs, or 150 degrees apart in the chart. It is referred to as a minor, negative aspect in classical astrology.

Glyphs are symbols that are a form of astrological shorthand to represent the planets and signs of the zodiac. There are glyphs for each planet and sign.

Even Pluto's glyphs are controversial, since there are at least 6 of them still in use.
The glyph for Pisces depicts two fish, swimming in opposite directions, bound by a silver cord. Pisces is one of the dual signs, able to sense and understand the duality of our spiritual and material nature.
The glyph for Sagittarius is the archers arrow, this symbolised the far-reaching scope of Sagittarius.
Its glyph represents the balance of the scales. Its meaning is equilibrium and justice. It is considered to be the sign of cosmic reciprocity, of cooperation rather than competition.
