I was introduced to heliocentrics back in the 60s, but not in the way you might imagine. In the mid-60s, I met an 80-year old man, while I was walking on the campus of the University of Michigan.

Heliocentric. The Sun as a center. The science of Astrology is largely based on geocentric observations, since it treats of cosmic forces as perceived or received by an inhabitant of the Earth.

Heliocentric: Measurements based upon the Sun as the central point of reference or observation; Sun-centered.
Herschel: The original name for the planet Uranus, which was discovered in 1781 by the British astronomer Sir William Herschel.

Heliocentric - Heliocentric is just like the scientific way, the planets revolve around the sun.

Heliocentric: A Sun centered perspective.
Horary astrology: A technique whereby a chart is cast for the exact date and time when a question first arises in ones mind or is asked of the astrologer.

Versions of this model developed by Eudoxos, Aristotle, Ptolemy and others became the dominant cosmological theory until after the "Copernican Revolution" of the sixteenth Century AD, when the modern, heliocentric model began to be explored.

By now the concept of perfection held earlier with regard to the solar system was definitely yielding to Copernicus' heliocentric theory.

There is also such a thing as heliocentric positions of the planets and hence heliocentric aspects. This would be as viewed from the true center of our solar system, the Sun.

Astrolog can create horoscopes, natal charts, and calculate current planetary positions in sidereal, traditional, and heliocentric formats. It can be used to relate astrological house and sign dispositors and other nonstandard systems.

Although astrologers, of course, know and understand that the Sun is the center of our solar system (heliocentric), we are observing the planets and other celestial phenomena from our view on Earth where human life occurs.

From the Sun's perspective (called Heliocentric), there are no Retrogrades, the planets continuously move in their orbits around the Sun. But from our perspective on the Earth, planets sometimes APPEAR to be going backwards.

The planet Earth isn't usually used in astrology charts (only in a specialised area called Heliocentric Astrology).

1 Unless notated otherwise, an astrological chart is assumed to be a geocentric (earth in the middle) chart. There are techniques which incorporate heliocentric (Sun in the middle) charts as well. But those are far less common.

It is the system based on the pre-Galilean view of the stellar world. This unrealistic view is opposed to the Heliocentric System The present day Ephemeris's provide coordinates of stellar relationships as seen from Earth.
