Inconjunct: A minor hard aspect, 150°, synonymous with quincunx. See quincunx.

 


The inconjunct or quincunx (the terms are generally used interchangeably) aspect in astrology is formed between planets that are roughly 150 degrees apart.

Inconjunct. Dissociate. A planet is inconjunct when it forms no aspect and is not in parallel of declination or mutual disposition to another planet.

Inconjunct: A minor hard aspect, 150°, synonymous with quincunx. See quincunx.
Increasing Light: Term applied to the waxing Moon as it moves from the position of new Moon to full Moon and the visible portion grows larger.

Inconjunct - Quincunx. An aspect of 150°, creating stress, unhappiness and sorrow. The aspect has a 6th or 8th house effect, depending on whether the swifter planet is applying or separating from the opposition to the slower.

Inconjunct (literally unconnected) was the name applied to planets placed five signs apart. With the absence of any physical shape to connect their signs, the term itself suggests a state of natural aversion.

Inconjunct: Another term for a quincunx aspect.
Ingress: This term refers the entry of a planet into a sign. It is commonly used to point out the Sun's yearly ingress into the four cardinals signs separating the seasons.

The quincunx (or inconjunct, abrv. Inc) is an angle of 150°, which is five-twelfths of the 360° ecliptic. A separation of 150±2° is considered a quincunx. The quincunx is said to be of moderate but somewhat unpredictable influence, bringing strain.

I wonder why we are sexually compatible, we have venus/mars inconjunct and also venus/mars semisextile. Are there other indicators that might explain this. I thought semi-sextiles and inconjuncts were incompatible.

Quincunx: Otherwise known as Inconjunct.
Parallel: This aspect is the only one not measured by celestial longitude. It is of two or more planets having the same distance in declination in degrees, north or south of the celestial equator.

For instance, the quincunx (also called inconjunct) is 150º, the distance of five 30º signs apart. This is a little more important and more often used than the minor aspects.

Yod or the Finger of God Aspect planetary chart pattern that is formed by three planets. Planets A and B are inconjunct (quincunx) and planets A and C are inconjunct (quincunx) and finally planet B and C are sextile each other.

The hour-glass pattern formed by Apex _x G inconjuncting both _x L and _xB (fig.2) indicates a need to transcend the boundaries of personal love and values in order to share resources in an unconditional manner for the benefit of humanity.
