Increasing in Light - A planet increases in light as it progresses from the conjunction with the Sun to the opposition.
Increasing in Motion - A planet moving faster than on the previous day.

 


Increasing in Light. Usually said of the Moon, but equally applicable to any planet which, on leaving a conjunction with the Sun, increases in light, as viewed from the Earth; and as it recedes from the opposition, decreases in light.

30. The Moon increasing in light and motion, and in conjunction of Saturn or Jupiter, is generally good in all things: but if she be diminished in light, 'tis ill; understand the contrary wholly, when she is in conjunction of Venus and Mars.

Decreasing or Increasing in Light.
From the New to the Full Moon the Moon is increasing in light, and from the Full to the next lunation it is decreasing in light.

A planet's position by house (angular houses are strongest), or by other beneficial factors such as well-aspected, increasing in light, elevated, swift, etc.

Waxing: The phase of the lunation cycle from new Moon (Sun/Moon conjunction) to full (Sun/Moon opposition) during which the Moon appears to grow larger, increasing in light.
