inharmonious aspects Aspects in which planetary energies do not combine smoothly, mainly the semi-square, square, sesquiquadrate, quincunx, and opposition; also called difficult aspects. See also hard aspects.
Inharmonious(ly): an aspect or sign detracting from or blocking the energy of the planet in question.
Inner (Planet): Mercury, Venus, or Mars.
antipathy : Inharmonious relations between planets, which rule in opposite signs. Also, conflict between the natal horoscope of two people.
Hard Aspects: Inharmonious aspects. Generally considered to be the Squared and Opposition and others. Aspects when the energies do not always help.
AntipathyInharmonious relations between planets, particularly those which rule or are exalted in opposite signs. AntiscionA point equal in distance on the opposite side of the solsticial axis to a planet's position.
Aspects have traditionally been divided into the harmonious (or easy) and inharmonious (or difficult).
Loosely applied to: (a) any inharmonious aspect to a planet, or (b) to any aspect, particularly the conjunction, parallel, square or opposition, to a malefic planet.
The square is inharmonious because it joins Signs "of different natures and
sexes
." The oriental quadrants are masculine; the occidental, feminine.
Inharmonious or adverse to goals and ambitions, it is a combative energy creating the feeling of being out-of-balance and can be stressful and frustrating especially in relationship matters.
Inharmonious conditions can have an unfortunate effect on the physical health and mental state. They often have natural artistic talent and a knack for beautifying their environment.
Opposition (180 degrees, six signs apart): Inharmonious aspect creating inner tensions between your planetary urges. It also creates dynamic tensions with others, which you must reconcile if you want to maintain harmonious relationships.
The ascendant should be free from inharmonious aspects and of a sign that is strong and where its ruler is strong.
