Jnana - Knowledge; sacred knowledge, especially derived from meditation.Saturn and Ketu lead to the realization of spiritual truths and understanding of deeper cosmic laws.
Jnana Yoga. This is the school of Shankaracharya, based on the understanding of the principles of wisdom and the evolving philosophies of humanity. It relates to the Third Ray.
* Jnana Yoga The word jnana pronounced as gyan means knowledge, insight and wisdom. Yoga of knowledge, arrived at through reasoning and discrimination. to attain knowledge from what you hear from your gurus.
Gnani (or Jnana) Yoga, essentially presents a more philosophical approach to the problems of life. Its exponents recommend the profound study of fundamental principles, revealing the underlying truths of existence.
Atmajnana is Self-knowledge, or knowledge of the soul; Atmatattwa is the true nature of the spirit, and Atmavidya the wisdom of the Self or Divine Wisdom. The Vedas spoke of Atmanam atmane pasya, meaning see Thyself by thyself.
The chief branches of yoga are Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Hatha Yoga. Raja Yoga, compiled in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and known simply as yoga in the context of Hindu philosophy, is part of the Samkhya tradition.
