Mutual Reception (see diagram) Two planets are said to be in mutual reception when they are in each other's signs of rulership. The example in the diagram is Mars in Taurus and Venus in Aries.Each planet has influence over the others' sign.

 


Mutual reception
Planets are in mutual reception when each is in the sign ruled by the other. Natal - Synonymous with 'birth.' Natal chart and birth chart are terms which can be used interchangeably.

Mutual Reception
This is when two planets are in the sign that the other rules. For example: when Venus is in Scorpio and Mars is in Taurus at the same time, they are in mutual reception, using traditional rulerships.

Mutual Reception - is when one planet occupies the sign of dignity of another and the planet whose dignity it is occupies the sign of dignity of the former planet. E.g.

Mutual reception - This occurs when two planets receive each other in one of their essential dignities. Mutual reception by ruling sign is the strongest. There can be reception (in order of strength) by sign, exaltation, triplicity, term, or face.

Mutual Reception: When each of two Planets is in the Sign ruled by the other, a relationship is formed that acts much like a conjunction. (example; The sun [ruled by Leo] is in Cancer and the Moon [ruled by Cancer] is in Leo.) ...

Mutual reception: Whenever two planets are positioned in each other's signs they are said to be in mutual reception and read as though they were conjunct.

Mutual Reception. Said of two planets mutually posited in each other's essential dignities.

Mutual Reception: the condition where two planets are each located in a sign ruled by the other.

Also consider two planets not in aspect to one another but in mutual reception and also parallel. This is going to be an important exchange of planetary energies, as there is a direct line along which the energy can travel by way of the declination.

With Neptune in Aquarius supported by transiting Uranus in mutual reception in Pisces, the first step is in the individualization necessary for the development of autonomous thought.

In other words they are traveling through each other's signs and this is called mutual reception, read like a conjunction between the two planets by most astrologers.

Planets are in 'mutual reception' when each occupies the house ruled by the other; as Venus in Aries and Mars in Taurus. The effect depends on the agreement between the natures of the planets.

But with the Moon and Neptune disposed of by Venus in Pisces (the apex of the water trinity), Venus in Mutual reception with Neptune conjunct Saturn, Mercury, and the Node, he learned much when he fell asleep on his books! ...
