Northern signs

Northern Signs. The Commanding Signs, Aries to Virgo, pursuing the order of the Sign. v. Signs.

Northern Signs - Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo. In these signs the Sun has northern declination.

Commanding signs - Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo - considered more powerful than the other six signs because they are nearer the Zenith. Also called Northern Signs, they have power over the Southern Signs.

Strictly speaking, the Northern Signs are those in which the Sun has North declination from March 21 to September 23; the Southern Signs, those in which the Sun has South declination, from September 23 to March 21.
