Occultation: From the Latin occultatio, a hiding; an eclipse of a planet.

 


Occultation - Planets occasionally obscure other planets or stars temporarily. The Moon, transiting a variable orbit, does so frequently. The phenomenon is termed occultation to distinguish it from eclipses.

Occultations Usually referred to when the Moon eclipses another object in the sky particularly a smaller object from our view on Earth.

Occultation. When a planet or star is hidden or eclipsed by another body, particularly by the Moon, there results what is termed an occultation.
Occursions. Celestial occurrences; such as, ingresses, formation of aspects, and conjunctions.

Occultation: an eclipse by the Moon of a planet or star.
Octile: one of the aspects of the 45° family, mainly sesquiquadrate and semisquare , but also including conjunction, square and opposition.

Old Style. Refers to dates recorded with calendar systems that were in use prior to the Gregorian calendar.

Occultation or obscuration of a planet by the Sun. It is formed when a planet is hidden by the rays of the Sun. When other planets do the same, it is known as Samagama, meaning union or association.

Occultations are a term commonly used when the Moon and a planet are in the same degree of declination. However, any celestial body can "occult" or hide another from view.

Occultation: Moon and Mars form a bodily conjunction, coming together in the same latitude as well as the same zodiacal longitude.

For the next eight years I expect we are in for a lot of social change. Our information age becomes the information speedway.

Not only was there an occultation to 2 natally OOB planets, but the Moon also is Out Of Bounds. Notice also that the Moon on the progressed date was, by ecliptic equivalents, approaching a conjunction to Pluto.

Immersion - The beginning of an eclipse, or of an occultation. The opposite of Emersion, or coming out of the aspect.
Impedited - A planet is impeded in its natural action when afflicted, especially by malefics.

This halfway point marked by the occultation of Venus by the solar disk during a superior conjunction, occurs on June 9th. The feminine cosmic powers that be rejoice.
