Planetary Return. The date and time when a planet or other body returns to the same place it was in at the date and time of birth. Planetary Rulership. See "Rule, Ruler, Rulership." Planetary Station. See "Station." ...
Whether it's a solar return, lunar return, or a planetary return (most astrologers pay rather little attention to planetary return charts, I'm afraid), the approach is the same.
In Astrology, the use of Karma/Dharma will lend a greater amount of insight to the expression of any planet and the way in which Planetary Returns and transits will manifest.
("And here I thought they ceased their wandering in honour of my birth!") At some point, they all come back to the position where they were when you were born (its Natal placement). This is called a Planetary Return.
Transits, progressions, planetary returns and solar arcs are the most commonly used.
