Polar Elevation - A body in the heavens at a certain elevation from the meridien towards the horizon. The lattitude for which a chart is cast.
Polar Elevation. The Elevation of the Pole, or the Pole of the Descendant, is relative to the north or south latitude of the place for which a map is erected.
Polar ElevationAt the equator, the Pole Star lies exactly on the horizon. As we travel northwards towards the Pole, the Pole Star rises accordingly.
Koch House System - this is calculated by taking the birthplace and determining the polar elevation. Then, take the MC degree moving from horizon to the apex, divide into 3 to get the Ascendant.
