Poseidon was the god of the sea in Greek mythology.
The son of Cronus and Rhea, and the brother of Zeus and Hades. Poseidon and the Gorgon Medusa were the parents of Pegasus, the famous winged horse.

The bad side of Neptune's (Poseidon in Greek mythology) job is to blur, to poison, to deceive, to cancel rationale, to induce a dream based upon a story and worse of all; to poison the world while under his jurisdiction.

In a famous Greek city, strife arose between the sea-god Poseidon and the wise goddess Athena as to whom should be its protector.

Neptune was once known as Poseidon the Greek sea god who administered all the lakes and the rivers. Neptune turned himself into a stallion to woo the goddess Demeter when she became a mare, thus he has been called the inventor of horse racing.

Poseidon gave them the horse. Athena struck the bare soil with her spear and caused an olive tree to spring up. The people were so delighted with the olive that Zeus gave the city to Athena and named it after her.

In Greek mythology Neptune is Poseidon, god of the sea, as illustrated in Neptune's glyph of the trident. Thus Neptune rules the ocean and all that is related to it, such as sailing, boats, fishing, and marine life.

For example, Poseidon-Neptune is a male god, even though the astrological Neptune certainly represents a feminine principle. The 22 Tarot cards, on the other hand, contain about as many female as male figures.

Neptune boasts the strongest winds of any other planet in the solar system, it also has an intense bright blue appearance that is attributed to trace amounts of methane in its atmosphere. The planet is named after the Greek God of the Sea Poseidon, ...

Neptune represents fads, impressionability, style, glamour, imagination and inspiration. Neptune, Poseidon, "The Artful Creator" also represents your charisma, creativity, and your spiritual life.

The name of the ruler of the Underworld was actually Hades. Hades was a brother of Zeus and of Poseidon; he was usually ignorant of the happenings of the Upperworld, only emerging rarely from his dark kingdom.

We have played the game of "forgetting" that we are the reality we "apparently" exist within for hundreds of thousands of years.
The water and the fish are aspects, and facets of the ocean, but the ocean (Poseidon) none the less.
