Quadrate, Quartile: Synonymous with square. See Square.

Quartile. A 90º, or Square aspect. (v. Aspects.)
Querent. Employed in Horary astrology to indicate the one who asks the question.
Quesited. Employed in horary astrology to indicate the person or thing that is the subject of an inquiry.

Quartile. An old term used to denote the square aspect.
Querent. In horary astrology, this is the person who asks the question.

(90°). Generally deemed unfavorable, since it represents the struggle of two forces at cross-purposes.

Jupiter forms quartile aspects (conjunction, square, opposition, square) to natal Jupiter every three years, and Saturn forms such aspects every 7 years to N Saturn.

When two planets are ninety degrees apart they are said to be in square or quartile, because ninety degrees are one-fourth, or quarter of the circle.
