PS- My rising sign is difficult to find :-)
This doesnt seem intiraly true. I have an aquarius rising and a taurus moon but i look more like a taurus than an Aquarius. Does this mean that aquarius may not be my true asendant?

The rising sign is important because it reveals parts of your personality that would not be necessarily evident in your Sun sign. In that respect, the rising sign would explain you might feel you are not completely true to your birth sign.

The rising sign is referred to as Lagna-rashi or simply as Lagnam. The names of the twelve signs have been given before. However some attributes or characteristics of each sign are given below.

The Rising sign overlay begins with the Ascendant or the first house of the chart. On the chart, this is point at the left side of the horizontal center.

The rising sign or ascendant is a secondary influence.
Look also at the planets which rule the 1st and 4th house and consider their signs and aspects.

The Rising Sign is literally the zodiac sign that is rising on the eastern horizon at the time of birth. This is why the time of birth is important, because without it the Rising Sign cannot be calculated.

YOUR RISING SIGN - ASCENDANT
Your Rising sign is the sign of the zodiac that was just coming up over the eastern horizon at the moment that you were born. If you were born at sunrise, your Rising sign would be the same as your sun sign.

Ascendant/Rising Sign-
As explained above, the ecliptic passes through the middle of the zodiac belt that extends to nine degrees on its each i.e. north or south side. All the planets remain within the limits of the zodiac.

The current rising sign of the Diurnal and ruler of the chart are the prime indicators. Exact aspects formed by the ruler of the chart are quite important.

Because the rising sign is based on the moment of birth (and place), it reflects a very specific definition of the identity.

The Ascending Sign or Rising Sign is the Sign which was ascending (rising) on the Eastern Horizon at the time of a person's birth, as observed from the place he was born.

Aspects: The angular distance, calculated in specific number of degrees of the chart wheel, between two celestial Planets or points. It also provides the nature of the relationship between Planets.
