An aspect between two planets that are 30 degrees apart (give or take a few degrees; see Orb). Planets in Semi-Sextile to each other are usually one sign apart.

The semi-sextile (abrv. SSx) is an angle of 30° (1/2 of a sextile [60°]). A separation of 30±2° is considered a semisextile.

Semi-Sextile: This is a half version of the Sextile and therefore not as strong. Most astrologers agree that this minor aspect is easy.

This combination is similar to the semi-sextile (Beige) combination, but more insistent and binding. The chemistry is either present and powerful or not there at all.

All astrologers are familiar with the traditional Ptolomaic aspects (conjunction, sextile, square, trine, opposition) and usually the more recently used semi-sextile and quincunx.

At the waning semi-sextile (), the thinning lunar crescent, rising before Sun at dawn, gradually disappears.

So if you have two natal planets with a semi-sextile and they are also parallel , this semi-sextile will be more intense. Rather than ignore this as a minor aspect you may wish to emphasize this in an interpretation.
