When the word astrology is mentioned most people immediately think of the signs of the zodiac. Usually they will think of their "star sign" which is the sign that the sun was placed in at birth.

The signs of the Zodiac are based on the Earth's annual journey around the Sun. This is called the Tropical (or seasonal) Zodiac. Aries, the first sign, starts on the first day of Spring (vernal equinox).
