Tropical Zodiac - Tropical zodiac assumes that the constellation of Aries is still the same. It does not change the names of the areas of the chart to reflect the movements of the constellations. This is the form of astrology that we use.

To convert a Tropical zodiac into a Sidereal zodiac one needs to know the current ayanamsa and subtract it from the tropical longitudes of the planets. The most widely accepted ayanamsa in India was introduced by N.C. Lahiri.

When using the Tropical zodiac, archetypal energy is related to its own basic triad, the house, the sign and planet. There are two additional significators, the quality, cardinal, fixed or mutable and its element, fire, water, air and earth.

Indian or Hindu astrology uses sidereal zodiacs which is different from the tropical zodiacs used by western system.
