True Solar Day. v. Day. Trutine. A term employed by Hermes in the process of rectification (q.v.).
True Solar Day. Refers to the length of time it takes the Earth to rotate on its axis once in relation to the Sun. T-Square. An aspect configuration in which two planets or bodies are in opposition and a third is squaring each of them.
Difference between mean and true solar days. Generally the watches are set to indicate the mean solar time which has a longer constant equal to the annual mean of true solar days.
This difference arises due to Sun not always crossing the Meridian at 12 o' clock. The time by watch is regulated by mean solar time, which is constant in length, and is equal to the annual mean of the true solar days.
