Apollo program

The Apollo program was designed to land humans on the Moon and bring them safely back to Earth.
The Apollo program demonstrated clear differences in composition between the lunar highlands and the maria. The highlands are made largely of rocks rich in aluminum, making them lighter in color and lower in density (2900 kg/m3).
The Apollo program was temporarily shut down. The investigation into the fire condemned NASA for its lack of concern for safety and shoddy workmanship.

Skylab, the first US space station, was launched into orbit on May 14, 1973 as part of the Apollo program. This 91 metric ton structure was 36 meters (four stories) high, 6.7 meters in diameter and flew at an altitude of 435 km (270 miles).

RT: I really wish JFK had lived to see the culmination of his speech. I especially enjoyed the Apollo program, maybe because of its history - hard to say.
