Bolometric Magnitude:
The measured total of all radiation at all wavelengths from a star is called a bolometric magnitude.

Bolometric Magnitude The total radiation received from an object.

BOLOMETRIC MAGNITUDE - Magnitude of a celestial object corrected to take account of the radiation in parts of the spectrum other than the visible.

BOLOMETRIC MAGNITUDE
The bolometric magnitude of a star includes the total radiation output of the star (not just visible light). It is the magnitude that a star would have if all of its energy were included in the measurement.

[edit] Bolometric magnitude
Bolometric magnitude corresponds to luminosity, expressed in magnitude units; that is, after taking into account all electromagnetic wavelengths, including those unobserved due to instrumental pass-band, ...

Bolometric Magnitude: The magnitude that a star would have if all of its energetic emissions were included in the measurement.

absolute bolometric magnitude: The absolute magnitude we would observe if we could detect all wavelengths.
absolute visual magnitude (Mv): Intrinsic brightness of a star. The apparent visual magnitude the star would have if it were 10 pc away.

bolometric magnitude (NASA SP-7, 1965) 1. The magnitude of a star for the entire electromagnetic spectrum without atmospheric absorption.
The magnitude measured within the earth's atmosphere by a bolometer is the radiometric magnitude.
2.

A measure of the radiation at all wavelengths emitted by a star is known as the bolometric magnitude.
(c) The measure of a star's brightness. apparent magnitude measures a star's apparent brightness - that is, how bright a star looks from Earth.

That part of the H-R diagram of a typical globular cluster that extends shortward from the asymptotic branch at an approximately constant absolute bolometric magnitude of about 0.3.

The color can, for example, tell you the temperature of an object, or tell you the amount of interstellar reddening. You may also see bolometric magnitude, which is the sum of all emitted radiation from radio waves to gamma rays, ...
