Columba, the Dove, is outlined principally by the triangle of stars at the center of the picture. Phact, the Alpha star, is at the top of the triangle; Wazn (Beta) is the brighter of those down and to the left.

Columba, the dove:
A modern constellation that first appeared in 1679. It was formed from stars that were once part of Canis Major. The constellation can be found directly south of the constellation of Orion.

Columba is supposed to represent Noah's dove, sent out from the Ark to find dry land, and which returned with an olive branch in its beak, a sign that the Flood was at last subsiding.

Lepus (the Hare) is about the same size as Columba and rather more obvious to the eye, lying to the south of Orion. It is one of Ptolemy's 48 constellations preserved to this day. More information, and an alternative image of Lepus is here.
