Cosmology
Cosmology is study of the Universe in its totality, and by extension, humanity's place in it.

Cosmology
Cosmology is the study of the nature of the universe as a whole entity. The word cosmology is derived from the Greek kosmos meaning harmony or order.

Cosmology is thought and theories about the origin, fate, and large scale structure of the universe.

Cosmology
Cosmology is the study of the large-scale structure and history of the universe. In particular, it deals with subjects regarding its origin. It is studied by Astronomy, Philosophy, and Religion. See also cosmogony.

Cosmology is a branch of science which studies the evolution of our universe. A scientist who studies cosmology is called a cosmologist. Cosmologists want to know what the Universe was like billions of years ago.

Cosmology deals with one of mankind's earliest questions: what is the nature of the world? Ancient civilizations believed that Earth was flat, and covered with a spherical dome on which the Sun, Moon, planets, and stars resided.

Cosmology is the study of the overall structure of the universe. And just what is the Universe? Quite simply, it is everything that exists. However, from Earth we cannot observe everything in the Universe.

Cosmology
This is the last chapter of the course, we will study the universe as a whole. We want to answer questions like: When and how the universe began? When and how it will end? What is "outside" the universe?

Cosmology: The Study of the Universe
On a clear, moonless night, one can often see a hazy, luminous band stretching across the sky. The ancients devised many fanciful myths to account for this "milky way.

In cosmology, it is defined as
H = (da/dt)/a, where a is the 4-radius of the Universe. When evaluated for the present, it is written H0 = Hnow.

- The most interesting feature in the Mexican cosmology is the theory of the ages of the world. Greece, Persia and probably Babylon, knew of four such ages. ?

think that the Universe will end in a Big Crunch. A handy way of saying that it will contract until it doesn't exist anymore. That will be followed by a Big Bang and a new Universe will begin. This is the basis for the cyclic version of cosmology.

Measurements from particle detectors and other instruments on several NOAA and NASA spacecraft were either degraded or temporarily shut down. The Japanese Advanced Satellite for Cosmology and Astrophysics (ASCA) was sent tumbling in orbit.

Spaceborne radio telescopes, infrared telescopes and visible-light telescopes will be flown in exacting formation to synthesize large apertures for many different types of investigations in astronomy, astrophysics and cosmology.
