Delta Trianguli A
Delta Trianguli A is a yellow-orange main sequence dwarf star of spectral and luminosity type G0.5 Ve.
Delta Cephei (δ Cep / δ Cephei) is a binary star system approximately 891 light-years away in the constellation of Cepheus (the King).
DELTA SCT (Delta Scuti). Stars look so rock-solid in the nighttime sky, the constellations they make wheeling perpetually overhead the same ones Homer saw when he composed the Iliad and Odyssey.
Delta Scuti stars are interesting because unlike their larger Cepheid cousins, they often pulsate in what are called nonradial modes. If you've ever had a course on spherical harmonics, I just mean that the azimuthal quantum number is greater than 0.

Because Delta Scorpii is near the ecliptic it is occasionally occulted by the Moon, or (extremely rarely) by planets. In June 2000, Delta Scorpii was observed by Sebastian Otero to be 0.1 magnitudes brighter than normal.

The double delta Aps consists of two orange-red 5th mag stars; delta1 Aps is a M5 giant and delta2 Aps a K3 giant. They can easily be observed with binoculars.

One important type, named Cepheid variables after δ Cephei, repeat their brightness cycles rather accurately. Their periods range from about a day to hundreds of days, and they are all hundreds of times more luminous than the sun.
The main rings, in order of increasing radius, are named Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon, and they range from 44,000 to 51,000 km from the planet's center.
BaII lines are also slightly strengthened in delta Del stars (Kurtz 1976). Ba is overabundant in blue stragglers of an old open cluster (Mathys 1991) and underabundant in HB stars (Aldelman and Philip 1992a).
To reach this orbit, Spitzer will be launched on a Delta rocket, which will travel at a speed slightly greater than the velocity required to escape the Earth's gravity.

In early March, Vesta stands between two modest stars: Vindemiatrix and Delta. Sharing the same binocular field with either star, it snuggles a bit closer to Delta, the dimmer one.
