Delta Scuti stars are interesting because unlike their larger Cepheid cousins, they often pulsate in what are called nonradial modes. If you've ever had a course on spherical harmonics, I just mean that the azimuthal quantum number is greater than 0.
DELTA SCT (Delta Scuti). Stars look so rock-solid in the nighttime sky, the constellations they make wheeling perpetually overhead the same ones Homer saw when he composed the Iliad and Odyssey.

Vega is a Delta Scuti type of pulsating variable star (over 0.1903 days) whose slight variations have been a matter of debate since their detection in 1918 by Paul Guthnick (1879-1947) and Richard Prager (1883-1945) (Vasil'yev et al, 1989).

X Caeli is a delta Scuti variable, ranging from 6.3 to 6.4 every 3h 14.7m.
These spectral type A stars vary by about 0.2 - 2 magnitudes over a period of several hours to a day or more. Their brightness is greatest when their radii are at their maximum.
