Another notable star is [4705] epsilon Indi. It lies about 11.82 light-years away and is one of the closest stars to Earth. It is a orange dwarf with a pair of brown dwarfs orbiting it.

In 2003, astronomers announced that epsilon Indi was accompanied by a brown dwarf. It was later discovered that the brown dwarf was actually a binary system.
