Alpheratz, Alpha Andromedae, is also Delta Pegasi, while Elnath, Beta Tauri, is also Gamma Aurigae (the two alternatives no longer used since the stars are within the modern boundaries of Andromeda and Taurus). Zubenhakrabi is more extreme.
The star is also know as Gamma Aurigae. Description of the Star Elnath is a blue B7III giant about 300 times as luminous as the sun. The spectrum indicates that the star is surrounded by an expanding shell of material expelled from the star.
