magnetopause
the boundary between Earth's magnetic field and the solar wind
magnetosphere ...

magnetopause: The boundary of the magnetosphere, lying inside the bow shock, usually about 10 Earth radii toward the Sun. The solar wind is deflected inside the bow shock to flow around the magnetopause in the magnetosheath.

Magnetopause
The region in earth's ionosphere where the magnetosphere meets the Solar Wind.

Magnetopause. The boundary layer between the solar wind and the magnetosphere.

Magnetopause --The boundary of the magnetosphere, separating plasma attached to Earth from the one flowing with the solar wind.

MAGNETOPAUSE T
he interface between a region containing a magnetic field and the outside. Most frequently used in connection with the Earth's and other planet's magnetic fields.

Magnetopause - The outer boundary of the magnetosphere of planet
Magnetosphere - The outermost part of the atmosphere of a planet, within which a very thin plasma is dominated by the planet's magnetic field ...

MAGNETOPAUSE
A magnetopause is the boundary between the area in which a planet's magnetic field dominates and the magnetic field of the rest of the Solar System dominates.

Magnetopause The location in space where Earth's magnetic field balances the pressure of the solar wind. It is located at the edge of the magnetosphere. See the image on the right.

New measurements from the Cluster mission for the first time now can determine unambiguously the scale sizes of magnetic reconnection in the earth's magnetosphere, both on the dayside magnetopause and in the magnetotail.

magnetopause The boundary of the magnetosphere, lying inside the bow shock. magnetosphere The region of space in which a planet's magnetic field dominates that of the solar wind.

An alternative definition is that the heliopause is the magnetopause between the solar system's magnetosphere and the galaxy's plasma currents.

Further from the sun than the bow shock, but before the surface of the earth, exists a region called the magnetopause. Here, solar wind that has passed the bow shock reaches a state of equilibrium with the magnetosphere.

Although the relatively cold plasma
captured by the Earth's magnetic field
is usually transparent, its ultraviolet
glow can be seen with NASA's Imager
for Magnetopause to Aurora Global
Exploration (IMAGE) spacecraft.

The boundary between the magnetosphere and this flow is known as the magnetopause. It is found at about 10 Earth radii from our planet.
