Info: Aquarius is one of the 13 zodiacal constellations (that is, the Sun passes through it in the course of the year).

The brightest star in the Aquarius constellation is [264], beta Aquarii, also known by its traditional name Sadalsuud. The name derives from the Arabic phrase "sa'd al-suud," meaning "luck of lucks." Beta Aquarii has a magnitude of 2.

Beta Aquarii is called Sadalsuud, from sa'd al-su'ud, possibly meaning ‘luckiest of the lucky'. Gamma Aquarii is Sadachbia, from sa'd al-akhbiya, possibly meaning ‘lucky stars of the tents'.

Alpha Aquarii (the brightest star in Aquarius) is called Sadalmelik (meaning the Lucky One of the King) and beta Aquarii (the second-brightest star in Aquarius) is named Sadalsuud (meaning the Luckiest of the Lucky); they are twin supergiants.
