Angle of sideslip

Aviation Angle of rollAnhedral

Angle of Sideslip. The angle between the longitudinal axis of the areoplane and its direction of motion.
Anodic Treatment. A treatment for metal parts of aeroplanes whereby a protective coating of oxide is imposed by electrolytic action.

The potentiometers for measuring the angle of attack and angle of sideslip are mounted in a common boom fitted on the right wing tip. The wiper arm of the potentiometer is directly connected to the vane.

Dihedral Effect[1] of an aircraft is a rolling moment resulting from the vehicle having a non-zero Angle of sideslip. Increased Dihedral Angle causes increased Dihedral Effect.
