Anhedral. A downward slant from root to tip of an aircraft s wing or horizontal tail surface.

 


ANHEDRAL - The downward angle of a wing in relation to a horizontal cross-section line; aka CATHEDRAL. See DIHEDRAL.

Anhedral
Where the wings are set an angle such that the tips are lower than the centre. The opposite of DIHEDRAL.

ANHEDRAL - Angle which the spanwise axis of an airfoil makes to the fuselage when the wing or tailplane tip is lower than its root attachment point.

dihedral - sloping up from root to tip. Opposite: anhedral.
DIN(S) - digital interial navigation (system).

The angle at which the port and starboard mainplanes of an aeroplane or glider are inclined upwards to the lateral axis. When they are inclined downwards the angle is termed Anhedral or Negative Dihedral; an older term was Kathedral.
