CYCLES
Pertaining to turbine engines. Cycle begins with starting, continues through full-power, and ends with shutdown.

A CVR committee usually consisting of members from the NTSB, FAA, operator of the aircraft, manufacturer of the airplane, manufacturer of the engines, and the pilots union, is formed to listen to the recording.

CVR - Cockpic Voice Recorder. Device that records crew conversations. Used in accident investigations.
CW - Continuous wave. A radio carrier broadcast that does not have modulation.

Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR)

Black Box: Popular name given to either the CVR or the FDR used to investigate an accident.
BRG: Bearing. Horizontal direction to/from a point, expressed in degrees (for example: 000 or 360 is North, 090 is East).
