DIVE BRAKES- (See SPEED BRAKES.) DIVERSE VECTOR AREA- In a radar environment, that area in which a prescribed departure route is not required as the only suitable route to avoid obstacles.
DIVE BRAKE - Drag-inducing surface deployed in a dive to maintain speed below structural limitations, or improve controllability (see airbrake).
DORSAL - Relating to the upper surface of an aircraft's fuselage.
2. Dive Brake and Brake Lever : Front - Located at left side of cockpit under instrument panel. Rear - Located at center of left side of cockpit.
