Flight Control Surfaces - Elevons
Delta winged aircraft use elevons as primary flight controls for
roll and pitch.
Elevon: Delta winged aircraft can not use conventional 3 axis flight control systems because of their unique delta shape.

Elevons
An elevator split into 2 halves which can be operated independently so that the same control surfaces can be used to control the roll of an aircraft as well as the pitch. Often seen on Flying Wings and Delta planform models.

ELEVONS - Movable control surfaces which act collectively as elevators, but differentially as ailerons.

ELT - Emergency locator transmitter; emits a homing signal from a crashed aircraft to simplify location for rescue services.

They typically employ elevons and/or canard front stabilizing wings.
These aircraft usually still have normal empennage (vertical tail fin and rudder).

On the tailless aircraft the pitch controls and roll controls must both be on the wing. There can be separate elevators and ailerons or they can be combined into one set of controls known as Elevons.
