Flight envelope

Envelope. The gas container of a balloon or airship or the outer cover surrounding the gas bags.

Flight Envelope - An aircraft's performance limits, specifically the curves of speed plotted against other variables to indicate the limits of speed, altitude, and acceleration that a particular aircraft cannot safely exceed.

ENVELOPE - Container, usually flexible, or the lifting gas or hot air of an airship or balloon.

FAA - Federal Aviation Administration.

The thin envelope of air that surrounds our planet is a mixture of gases, each with its own physical properties. The mixture is far from evenly divided. Two elements, nitrogen and oxygen, make up 99% of the volume of air.
