Estimated Time of Arrival Minimums
If you find your ETA to a fix is going to be off by over THREE minutes you should advise ATC. The safest ETA estimates seems to be "6" minutes.

It determines the ETA (estimated time of arrival) for an aircraft at its destination. If the original estimate for an aircrafts taxi time was 5 minutes and it was held in transit for longer, then its ETA at the destination airport would change.

Arrival Time (ETA) -- Estimated Time of Arrival. The expected time of arrival at the destination, based on the planned departure time.
Enroute Time (ETE) -- the Estimated Time Enroute for the leg.

CONTROLLED TIME OF ARRIVAL- The original estimated time of arrival adjusted by the ATCSCC ground delay factor.
