Flight Watch is the common name in the United States for an Enroute Flight Advisory Service (EFAS) dedicated to providing weather to and collecting it from pilots operating at lower altitudes (mostly general aviation).
FLIGHT WATCH or EFAS FSS priority handling of real-time weather information to airborne flights (rather than for preflight planning) on a single national radio frequency of 122.0 MHz (low altitude).

Best time to contact Flight Watch for weather updates is at the top of the hour. Weather changes and trends can be detected by listening to en route ATIS, AWOS and ASOS Ask Flight Watch to solicit PIREPS.
In addition, at selected locations, FSSs provide En Route Flight Advisory Service (Flight Watch), take weather observations, issue airport advisories, and advise Customs and Immigration of transborder flights.
