The Glidepath Is Not a Glide slope
A glide slope provides vertical guidance such as the VASI, PAPI. ILS, MLS and PAR
A glidepath depicts the vertical descent profile of an approach.

GLIDEPATH INTERCEPT ALTITUDE-
(See GLIDESLOPE INTERCEPT ALTITUDE.)
GLIDESLOPE- Provides vertical guidance for aircraft during approach and landing. The glideslope/glidepath is based on the following: ...

GP - glidepath
gph - gallons per hour, an expression of fuel consumption or fuel flow (FF) in either imperial or U.S. gallons. Usually lb/hr for turbine-powered aircraft.

If my high-speed glidepath had taken me directly to the runway threshold, I would have arrived at the threshold with far too much kinetic energy, and would have had a hard time landing the plane.

Approach lighting system (ALS). Provides lights that will penetrate the atmosphere far enough from touchdown to give directional, distance, and glidepath information for safe transition from instrument to visual flight.

Precision Approach Procedure - A standard instrument approach procedure in which an electronic glideslope/glidepath is provided (e.g., Instrument Landing System and Precision Approach Radar).

The ideal descent path to a runway. It can be electronically defined by radio signals transmitted from the ground. An aircraft carrying a special radio receiver can detect this electronic glidepath and follow it down to the runway.
Gateway City ...

A colored light system providing visual guidance to the glidepath of a runway.
VFR: Visual Flight Rules. Prescribed for the operation of aircraft in visual meteorological conditions (VMC).

CRAP I forgot, he's too high to pick up the glidepath signal...give him expedited descent...SHIT, that RAS aircraft is about to merge with a 7000 squawk, give him avoiding action! ...
