Go around

Aviation Go aheadGo-around

The generic go around has the following sequence:
1. Smoothly to full power (including carburettor heat #2)
2. Pitch initially to level for acceleration as...
3. Flaps removed by increments or milking according to speed and rate of acceleration.
4.

Go Around
To abort a landing. So called because after aborting, the pilot usually continues around the traffic pattern and lands on the next circuit.

Go around (GA).
A basic guidance mode, providing lateral guidance, longitudinal guidance and vertical guidance to climb then to accelerate, while maintaining a wings-level roll; in some implementations (such as SOA), ...

GO AROUND- Instructions for a pilot to abandon his approach to landing. Additional instructions may follow.

If you need to go around, don't wait until the last moment. If you are rolling toward the end of the runway and are worried about running off the end into the trees, attempting a go-around will only make it worse.

Converging Runway Display Aid (CRDA) enables Approach controllers to run two final approaches that intersect and make sure that go arounds are minimized ...

You can go around at any time, even during the landing flare. During flight reviews and airplane checkouts I frequently make it a point to ask for a go-around when the pilot is actually flaring the airplane.

Every instructor approaches this kind of situation differently, but one technique that helps during that first hour is to shoot approaches right into ground effect and barely kiss the ground while initiating a go around.

TOGA: Take-off/Go Around. An autopilot setting activating take-off or go-around thrust.
Touchdown: Synonym of landing. May also refer to a stopover that does not involve a change of aircraft or flight.

When a student of mine reaches the point in training to begin crosswind landings, I first have them make two or three wing down approaches and go arounds.

True air- and ground speed will be higher due to density altitude and be ready for a full approach, do expect a go around. If you are attempting to land on a one-way runway, have the go around decision point well in front of the runway.

give him expedited descent...SHIT, that RAS aircraft is about to merge with a 7000 squawk, give him avoiding action! Nope, this approach isn't happening - "Monarch 457: Go around, I say again, go around!" ...

The stall of the wing occurs at the highest lift coefficient on an airfoil, when the airflow can no longer go around the airfoil's nose (leading edge) and separates from the upper wing surface.

DH - decision height. The height on a precision approach at which a pilot must have the runway approach lights in sight to continue the descent, or if not, must initiate a go around.

The wire you just put in the harness should go around the third clamp , back around the second clamp toward the first "C" Clamp for those who haven't quite got the picture yet.
