Incidence wires

Incidence Wires: The diagonal wires or cables on a biplane, triplane or quadruplane which brace each pair of front and rear interplane or centre section struts.

 


The incidence wires should be tight, as well as the landing and flying wires. These are the wires that go from the top of a pair to the bottom of the other of the same pair and are clearly shown in Fig. 101 in preceding chapter.
