Interference

Aviation IntercoolerInterline

Interference: like with a detection system, RADAR needs to be able to distinguish between objects. Interference is the RADARs ability to distinguish between noise in the surrounding environment and the object of intended detection.

Interference drag
Intergranular corrosion
Interlayer Material - Aircraft Windows ...

Interference drag. Drag generated by the collision of airstreams creating eddy currents, turbulence, or restrictions to smooth flow.

Interference: The increase in drag and, in certain cases, the reduction in lift caused by the interference of the airflow round one body with that round an adjoining body.

interference drag
Surfaces at angles to each other as in (C) create turbulence in the region of the joint. This occurs most frequently at the intersection of the fuselage and wing.

Interference Drag
It is not enough to add all the form and the skin-friction drag values of parts that where separately tested to obtain the total parasite drag.

FIDGET
Interference of enemy high frequency night-fighter transmissions.
FIE
Flight Instructor Examiner ...

A related interference effect is shown in figure 9.7. A fuselage moving sideways through the air is a very non-streamlined object. Downstream of such an object you expect to find a large, messy wake.

Tail Rotor Control: No interference
The bell-crank in this picture is part of the tail rotor control push/pull rods.

Winglets and wing fences also increase efficiency by reducing vortex interference with laminar airflow near the tips of the wing, ...

Ground Effect: The effect of ground interference on the airflow patterns around an aircraft when the aircraft is close to the ground.
HASELL Check: Cockpit checks prior to stall/spin, aerobatics, (practice) forced landing.
hrs: hours.

Because dynamic mics use a magnetic field, they are susceptible to electromagnetic interference, which can garble transmissions. Dynamic mics for aviation use are carefully shielded to minimize the chances of such interference.

Hit (or to be hit) Sudden radio interference which causes your model to fly in an erratic manner. Most often caused by someone turning on a radio that is on your frequency, but can be caused by other radio sources miles away.

Momentary uncontrolled operation of control surfaces caused by electronic interference or equipment malfunction.
Glow Plug
The glow plug is the source of ignition in a "glow engine" hence the name. more......

It is due to the interference of the surface with the airflow pattern of the rotor system, and it is more pronounced the nearer the ground is approached.

To discharge an electrically aircraft static wicks are used. They are connected to the airframe and release the electrons back to the atmosphere, thus reducing radio interference.
Low stratus ...

Anodic films can also be used for a number of cosmetic effects, either with thick porous coatings that can absorb dyes or with thin transparent coatings that add interference effects to reflected light.

Since the first 'Open Skies' agreement was signed in 1992 (with the Netherlands), this effort has been very successful, and as of January 2010, the United States had concluded 95 'Open Skies' agreements, which reduce government interference in ...

The other drag contributions are airfoil shape, wind induced drag, tail drag, fuselage and landing gear drag, interference drag, cooling drag and a few more.

the aspect-ratio issue; advocates of multiplanes (Horatio Phillips, for example) appear to have worked from the understanding that high aspect-ratio is a "good thing" (true) but not to have had evidence of the detrimental effects of interference ...

We see machines with the motor and propeller in the rear, or with two motors, one to each side of the body out in the wings, the object being to avoid interference of the propeller with the range of gun fire.
