Isotherm: A line on a weather map drawn through points of equal temperature. Isotherms are usually drawn to show average monthly or annual distribution of temperature over a given area.
At ... (position or zone) what is (are) the flight level(s)/altitude(s) ... of the zero Celsius isotherm(s)? At ... (position or zone) the zero Celsius isotherm(s) is (are) at flight level(s)/altitude(s) ... QMX ...
The core of the jet streams is situated at the break between the high tropical and lower polar trpopause. Note the pattern of the isotherms (lines of equal temperatures) and the isotachs (lines of equal velocities) around the core of the jet.
