Leading and trailing edges |

LEADING AND TRAILING EDGES The foremost and rearmost edges of a wing. LEADING EDGE (LE) The very front edge of the wing or stabilizer. This is the edge that hits the air first.
The chord line is a straight line connecting the leading and trailing edges of the airfoil. The chord is the length of the chord line from leading edge to trailing edge and is the characteristic longitudinal dimension of the airfoil.
Constant chord - Leading and trailing edges are parallel. Simple to make, and common where low cost is important.
One that has parallel leading and trailing edges, with no taper. Contra-Rotating Propellors Two propellors on the same axis rotating in opposite directions. It is a convenient method to increase power for a given propellor diameter.
The chord line is another imaginary line that is drawn connecting the leading and trailing edges of an airfoil, meeting at the two ends of the mean chamber line. Chord is the term used to refer to the length of the chord line.
FEATHERED PROPELLER- A propeller whose blades have been rotated so that the leading and trailing edges are nearly parallel with the aircraft flight path to stop or minimize drag and engine rotation.
CHORD - The measurable distance between the leading and trailing edges of a wingform. CLASS G AIRSPACE (Uncontrolled Airspace) - Airspace not designated as Class A, B, C, D or E Controlled Airspace.
camber - (1) The curvature of an airfoil section relative to its chord; usually expressed as the ratio of the height of the curved line (mean line) between the leading and trailing edges to the length of a straight line between the same two ...
The inboard portion of the Warrior's wing retains that Hershey bar shape, but the leading and trailing edges of the outer panels taper.
To prevent damaging the wing's leading and trailing edges, it is suggested that a piece of foam rubber, or carpet, or even rags be placed under the nylon rope before tying.
Centre-line Camber. The ratio between the chord of an aerofoil and the maximum height of the centre line above the chord line. A measure of the amount of curvature between the leading and trailing edges.
The aft or trailing part is narrow, tapered and called the trailing edge. A reference line used when discussing airfoils is the chord line, an imaginary straight line joining the leading and trailing edges.
