Louvre: A movable vane for controlling an opening for the flow of cooling air. Low: A meteorological term used to denote a region of low pressure, or depression.
Immediately ahead is the expansive Palais du Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens. Keep climbing and fly directly over, rather than alongside, the Louvre, pausing wherever you like. Note the long semi V- or U-shape of the construction.
COWL FLAP - A controllable louvre to regulating airflow through an engine's cowling. CRAB - A rudder-controlled yawing motion to compensate for a crosswind in maintaining a desired flight path, as in a landing approach.
